It was another complicated weekend for the Monegasque and her new team-mate John Peeters, currently ranked 7th overall with the Blue Rising team, ahead of the final event on Lake Como in Italy.
Unfortunately, the drivers were not successful in qualifying, finishing in last place, with a slightly capricious stretch of water and a penalty on their first run for Pole Position.
The competition: In the three-boat semi-finals the following day, the ‘Blue Rising’ team will be up against ‘Team Rafa’ and ‘Westbrook’ (crews in good form at the end of the season) for a place in the final.
As was the case the day before in qualifying, the results of these semi-finals (2 times last) are not enough to place in the top 5 of the best teams to take part in the final of this Grand Prix.
A new race configuration on this Italian event enabled Team Blue Rising to compete in the Place Race (6th to 9th place).
Lisa Caussin-Battaglia (Official Women’s MC Driver) and John Peeters (Alternate Driver and Manager of Team Blue Rising USA) finished P8 in this event on Lake Como and remain in 7th place in this UIM E1 World Championship for teams.
